O-Shot services in Lubbock, TX

Did you know that about 50 million women suffer from stress due to sexual dysfunction and problems with sexual relations? Did you
know that by menopause, 40% of women suffer from urinary incontinence. Only about 15% of women will discuss this with their
doctor. Dr Jenn has opened up the conversation here in West Texas, and many women are now brave enough to discuss these
issues with her.

Rejuvenating Results

As women age, they may encounter a variety of health issues and concerns, particularly in the pelvic region. After pregnancy and childbirth, women commonly suffer from urinary incontinence. Women going through menopause may suffer from decreased sex drive, vaginal dryness, and pain with intercourse. These symptoms can be overwhelming, embarrassing and painful. Thankfully, Dr Jenn at Owen Health Group is the only gynecologist in West Texas offering a revolutionary solution: the O-Shot!

The O-Shot, or Orgasm Shot, uses PRP (platelet rich plasma) which contains the patient's own growth factors from her blood to rejuvenate the tissue. This results in nerve regeneration, tissue growth, and increased blood flow. Ultimately, this helps the tissue return to it's normal healthy state. When performed by licensed physicians with an in-depth knowledge of female anatomy, patients see significant improvements in urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, orgasms and satisfaction from intercourse. FAQ:

How can the O-Shot help me? This procedure can improve issues such as vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, orgasms, and urinary incontinence.

How long does the procedure take? You will need to plan on being in the office for about 1 hour. Most of the time involves numbing, drawing blood, and setting the procedure up. The actual procedure only takes a few minutes though.

Does the procedure hurt? Most patients report only minimal discomfort and a pressure sensation. We use numbing cream and a local anesthetic prior to injection of the PRP.

Is there any downtime? No. You can leave the office and continue on with your plans for the day. You may return to work the same day if needed. There is no downtime for intercourse if you do not experience any pain.

What can I take if I have any pain after the procedure? Please do not use aspirin or any NSAID pain relievers (Advil, Motrin, or Aleve) for 1 week after the procedure. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is okay as directed on the package. You can also apply ice to the area as needed.

What are some normal things to expect after the procedure? Spotting may occur after the procedure and this is normal. Redness, swelling, numbness, tenderness, increased sensation, and possibly discomfort is normal for a few days up to a week. Some patients experience cramping the night of and possibly the morning after. Some patients also experience a feeling of “heaviness” in the treated area.

When will I see results? Some patients will see immediate improvement in sensation, but it will take several weeks to achieve maximum results. Urinary incontinence usually improves quickly. Other patients may not notice any effect at all in the first few weeks or even months. Most patients see maximum results in 3-6 months.

How often will I need the O-Shot? Most patients will not need another O-Shot for 18-24 months. However, some patients do need a second shot sooner to achieve desired results.

What if I need or want another O-Shot sooner? There is no contraindication to having additional O-Shots. Some patients may actually need a repeat O-Shot to achieve desired results.
